Job summary

RTX in Andover, MA is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead supplier-related issue resolution onsite. You will analyze non-conformances, drive root-cause and corrective actions, and ensure proper communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Candidates must have a BS in a technical field and 5+ years in quality engineering, with ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Prior DoD/AS9100 experience is preferred, and work is on-site at the facility.

What You Will Do

• Utilize analytical capabilities and communications skills to lead rapid resolution of supplier caused issues impacting the factory, working with other quality functions and cross-functional teams.
• Analyze supplied material non-conformance data and develop action plans to address top and systemic drivers.
• Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring accuracy of nonconformances, robust root-cause analysis, and corrective solutions are fully implemented.
• Communicate supplied part issues impacting the factory to suppliers and stakeholders.
• Assist with quarantine, containment and screening of suspect defective supplied hardware.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Requires aBachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study, and five (5) years related Quality Engineering experience
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Existing DoD Secret Clearance or Higher
• Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
• Experience with LEAN methodologies or CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), control plans or supplier verification
• Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
• Proven experience in data analytics, identifying trends and creating action plans
