Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality activities across materials, packaging, and subcontractors. You will ensure adherence to quality requirements, drive corrective actions, and collaborate with program teams to meet government and customer standards.

Role requires travel ~25% and ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance to pursue a final Secret clearance. Strong experience in ERP, SAP, and quality systems is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Technical field; relevant experience considered.
• Familiar with Procure-to-Pay or SAP.
• Experience in one of the following disciplines: Quality Engineering, Systems Engineering, Materials Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proficient in ERP & Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start and ultimately a Secret Clearance.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and report on all supplier quality related activities to assure fulfillment of contract, purchase order requirements.
• Ensure control of supplier nonconforming items and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal program quality, engineering, supply chain management and manufacturing functions and external suppliers to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Perform source surveillance audits, supplier assessments, validation of special process audits and selection of sub-tier suppliers.
• Prepare, maintain and review procurement quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and government requirements.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Management to review active Suppliers Subcontractors approvals and New Capability Requests.
• Visit suppliers as required for face-to-face engagement; travel averages 25% with short monthly trips.
