Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is recruiting a Supplier Development Engineer to lead cross-functional efforts with Global Sourcing, engineering, and customers. The role focuses on improving supplier quality, delivery, and readiness across electrical and mechanical programs.

You will guide supplier selection, qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging RCCA and PFMEA methodologies. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years combined experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in production readiness & rate readiness reviews/assessments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement projects to streamline supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Global Sourcing leaders to manage supplier changes and NPI transitions.
• Research external sources to identify potential suppliers and drive qualification processes.
• Assess supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality, capacity, and fulfillment.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and APQP tools with suppliers and scorecards.
• Monitor supplier performance and root-cause issues to meet targets.
• Provide technical support for complex parts and assemblies to suppliers.
• Review manufacturing processes for conformance to drawings and specs.
• Create PFMEA activities and control plans with suppliers.
