Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Sr Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with quality standards across electrical and mechanical components. You will audit suppliers, analyze data, and collaborate with sourcing, quality, and NPD teams to elevate performance.

The role requires strong communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence at senior levels. Significant travel to supplier sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (STEM).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or related role.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with quality leaders to manage and track supplier improvements.
• Perform process and product audits for proactive risk management.

• Monitor supplier quality metrics and drive production improvements.

• Lead RCCA investigations to prevent defects.
• Handle complex issues requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors.
• Provide technical insight to analyze risks and opportunities.

As a Sr Supplier Quality Engineer at Honeywell, you will work with a team of supplier quality engineers to ensure that our suppliers meet Honeywell's quality standards and strategy in the manufacture of components. You will be accountable for driving supplier performance improvement, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the highest level of quality in our supply chain. You will report directly to our Sr Engineer Supplier Quality Engineer Manager.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by managing your day‑to‑day activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will also be accountable for conducting supplier audits, performing root cause analysis, and driving corrective actions to address quality issues.

The position requires breadth of technical experience across multiple programs and products, both electrical and mechanical, working directly with suppliers daily, influencing and working closely with the sourcing commodity leadership teams, Quality and NPD. The successful candidate should be able to effectively communicate with senior management, have a big picture strategic mindset, handle multiple priorities, influence, and solve complex problems.

• Evaluate/develop prospective supplier Quality System.
• Evaluate/develop procedures for compliance to contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor supplier Quality metrics associated with supplier capability, trends and related production improvement efforts.
• Train associates, suppliers, and contract personnel in Six Sigma techniques.
• Drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to prevent defects.
• Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Provide technical insight to analyze risks and opportunities.
• Travel to supplier sites.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a related role.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites more than 50% of the time.

• Recognized authority in area of expertise and or products with wide versatility of experience and capability – casting, welding, or machining background is a plus.
• High level of interpersonal skills is required to handle difficult situations as well as diffuse interpersonal conflict effectively.

The annual base salary range for this position is $97,000 - $121,500. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
