Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Supplier Quality Auditor to partner with Sourcing, Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to strengthen quality systems across the supply base. The role emphasizes technical documentation, root-cause investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions with a strong welding and fabrication background.

The candidate will independently assess supplier performance, document findings clearly, and lead complex corrective action processes to improve quality and supply

Qualifications

• 5+ years in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or welding engineering.
• Experience with root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Strong ability to review drawings, GD&T, weld symbols and specs.
• Experience with quality system audits and supplier development.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause investigations using structured methods (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Analyze process failures, supplier escapes, field quality concerns to find root causes.
• Review engineering drawings, GD&T, weld symbols, QA docs for compliance.
• Evaluate supplier controls, inspection methods, and validation activities.
