Job summary

SPX Technologies is hiring a Quality Engineer to monitor quality metrics and expose defects across external suppliers and internal manufacturing processes. You will perform root cause analyses, drive CAPA actions, and ensure document control and process compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has strong Lean manufacturing experience, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office and MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field required.
• ASQ or CQE certification preferred.
• GD&T and IPC 600/610/620 preferred.
• Experience as a Quality Engineer in manufacturing with precision machining and related processes.
• Strong Lean manufacturing and problem-solving background.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word).

Responsibilities

• Quality metrics analysis to identify trends and CAPA actions.
• Investigate floor issues and propose corrective actions.
• Manage data in MRP systems and generate quality reports.
• Monitor document control and ensure process compliance.
• Track supplier quality and issue SCARs; coordinate RCCAPA as needed.
• Dispositio n defects using standard methods and records.
• Develop quality procedures and assist training efforts.
• Support continuous improvement and supplier audits.
• Review design change requests affecting product/process/cost.
• Ensure adherence to safety and company policies.
