The Quality Technician will participate in and conduct quality assurance audits of supplier production facilities to ensure Henny Penny quality standards and product integrity are maintained. The role includes consulting with quality engineers and other departments to resolve quality, production, and efficiency issues, and acting as a resource for critical quality problems. The technician may also collaborate on special projects or teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct production process audits, create reports, and follow up on corrective actions for nonconformances.
• Evaluate product conformance with measurement equipment.
• Resolve major quality issues at production facilities, warehouses, and markets.
• Perform preliminary investigations of quality incidents for root cause analysis.
• Address issues related to product date coding, PIN tracking, and control panel assignments from suppliers.
• Work with suppliers to develop quality control testing and equipment, ensuring procedures are maintained.
• Coordinate with supply chain for part containment and sorting.
• Manage calibration and maintenance of supplied gaging tools.
• Serve as an information resource during critical quality issues.
• Build relationships with supply chain and quality team members to facilitate corrective actions and mentor team members.
• Communicate quality concepts internally and externally through presentations and reports, utilizing charts and pattern recognition tools.
• Coordinate containment activities with suppliers.
• Assist in developing special projects and collaborate with other quality team members.
• Model company values and behaviors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a quality technician in metalworking or electronics manufacturing, or an associate degree in a related science or math field with 3+ years of experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• 3+ years of metrology experience; experience with Faro Arm, CMM, or weld inspection is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to convey quality concepts and gain buy-in from partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; MiniTab proficiency is a plus.
• Self-motivated team player with a desire to grow.
• Formal problem-solving training and application skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly identify issues, problem-solve, and make timely decisions. Physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally.
• Visual acuity including near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
