Job description

Position Description

Ensures purchased product or service meets established quality standards, including reliability, usability, and performance. Assists in advanced Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) functions and provides data analysis for problem-solving and decision-making.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Performs supplier quality assurance assignments and projects; maintains up-to-date Quality Management System documentation; compiles quality reports related to purchased products and vendor performance.
  2. Coordinates analysis studies for less complex vendor and purchased part issues.
  3. Assists in identifying and resolving issues with purchased parts; supports Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
  4. Contributes to the development of basic product and process procedures.
  5. Performs basic analysis for problem-solving purposes.
  6. Serves as a liaison regarding Supplier Quality Issues with internal teams as needed.
  7. Assists in PPAP and APQP processes.
  8. Supports vendor communications related to NCM, PPAP, and deviations.
  9. Participates in New Product Development (NPD) activities as required.
  10. Collaborates with SQE to develop quality inspection plans for incoming inspections.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Fluent in English.

Experience Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Business, or equivalent education/experience.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Some physical activity; lifting light materials; occasionally lifting/moving 25-50 lbs (11-27 kg).
  • Generally good working conditions.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and reaching during an 8-12 hour shift.
