The Quality Technician will participate in and conduct quality assurance audits of supplier production facilities to ensure Henny Penny quality standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. The role involves consulting with quality engineers and other departments to resolve quality, production, and efficiency issues. The technician may serve as a key information resource during critical quality issues and collaborate on special projects or teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conducting production process audits, creating reports, and following up on corrective actions for nonconformances.
• Evaluating product conformance using various measurement equipment.
• Resolving major quality problems at production facilities, warehouses, and market areas.
• Performing preliminary investigations of quality incidents to enable root cause analysis.
• Evaluating and implementing corrective actions related to product date coding, PIN tracking, and control panel assignments from suppliers.
• Collaborating with suppliers to develop and maintain quality control testing and equipment procedures.
• Managing calibration and maintenance of supplied gaging equipment.
• Serving as an information resource for the team and departments during critical quality issues.
• Building relationships with supply chain and quality team members to facilitate corrective actions and mentoring team members.
• Communicating quality concepts internally and externally through presentations and reports, utilizing charts and pattern recognition tools.
• Coordinating containment activities with suppliers.
• Participating in the development of special department projects.
• Modeling the company's values and expected behaviors consistently.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a quality technician in metalworking or electronics manufacturing, or an associate degree in a science or math-related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• At least 3 years of metrology experience; familiarity with Faro Arm, CMM, or weld inspection is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to convey quality concepts and gain buy-in from external partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint; Mini-Tab experience is a plus.
• Self-motivated team player with a desire to grow professionally.
• Formal problem-solving training and demonstrated application of those skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to identify quality issues quickly, problem-solve, and make timely decisions. Physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally.
• Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
