Job description

Ensures purchased product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance. Assists in more advanced SQE functions. Provides analysis of data for the purpose of informing and problem solving.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Performs supplier quality assurance assignments and projects; assists in Quality Management System documentation activities; maintains up to date documentation; compiles quality reports in regard to purchased product and/or vendor performance.
  2. Completes the coordination of less complex Vendor and/or purchased part analysis studies.
  3. Assists in the isolation and elimination of purchased part issues; assists with Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) as needed.
  4. Assists in the development of basic product/process procedures.
  5. Performs basic analysis used in problem solving.
  6. Assists as a liaison of expertise regarding Supplier Quality Issues with internal customers as necessary.
  7. Assists in PPAP process and APQP.
  8. Assists with Vendor communications related to NCM, PPAP, and Deviations.
  9. Assists with NPD activities as necessary.
  10. In conjunction with SQE develops appropriate quality inspection plans for Incoming Inspection.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
  1. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  2. Working knowledge and background of manufacturing processes.
  3. Demonstrated time management, prioritization, organizational and planning skills.
  4. Ability to work with general supervision either individually or in a team environment.
  5. Ability to problem solve.
Education

Associates Degree in Engineering.

Experience Requirements
  1. Experience in machining or assembly type operations preferred.
  2. Enterprise wide reporting system experience preferred.
Physical & Environmental Requirements

Some physical demand; often lifts light weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.

Generally good working conditions.

Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
