Job summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Sr. Staff (level 6) Systems Engineer to join the Sentinel Systems Engineering team in Roy, UT.
The role supports ICBM launch systems, hardware modifications, and related facilities, collaborating across SMTs and suppliers on program requirements and changes. The position emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and technical guidance, with a standard 9/80 schedule and potential relocation assistance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years engineering experience, or higher degree with fewer years
- 5 years of experience leading technical teams
- Experience with the systems engineering V-model and lifecycle phases
- Experience in managing a technical baseline and milestones
- Experience with suppliers on a development program and aerospace contexts
- US Citizenship with active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP and Top Secret clearances
Responsibilities
- Drive collaboration across SMT Tech Leads and programs
- Identify best practices and establish CONOPS/templates
- Align supplier technical objectives with program constraints
- Lead change management and TRB activities as SMT focal point
- Review proposed design changes for supplier impact and mitigation
- Provide guidance on SSOW tailoring and SDRLs
