Job summary

Honda seeks a Supplier Process Sr. Engineer to drive supplier delivery and characteristic improvement with automotive part suppliers in North America.

You will evaluate delivery issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop systemic countermeasures to meet Honda's performance targets, collaborating with Supply Chain, New Model, Procurement, and Supplier Assurance teams. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent related experience.
• 2-8 years of relevant experience.
• General knowledge of manufacturing environment and engineering principles as it relates to safety, quality, cost, delivery, new model, and manpower.
• Delivery specific knowledge of production planning, efficiency/OEE, labelling, inventory management, plant/equipment, sub-supplier management, process control.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier improvement activity with performance targets and gap elimination plans.
• Identify systemic problems and perform root cause analysis to develop countermeasures.
• Analyze supplier production planning and correlate to Honda systems; propose improvement options.
• Engage suppliers and top management to develop action plans and maintain project milestones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to confirm supplier capability and improvement.
• Provide training and support for deep root cause analysis and data-driven decisions.
• Balance multiple projects and priorities while maintaining delivery focus.
• Apply PDCA for continuous improvement.
