Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Principal Supplier Performance Engineer to oversee fabrication of structural and mechanical components at supplier facilities. The role is hybrid with potential remote work in the US and requires 20% travel, including frequent visits to Etna and Cranberry Township, PA HQ sites.

You will lead supplier oversight, coordinate with Supply Chain, Design Engineering and Supplier Quality, identify issues, drive corrective actions, and monitor metrics like

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing or fabrication.
• Experience with fabrication and design of ASME Section VIII pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
• Experience with manufacturing processes including machining, welding, forming, mechanical assembly, NDE and inspection, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish Supplier Oversight Plans to lead submittals, manufacturing, surveillance, inspections and tests.
• Coordinate activities of Westinghouse functions responsible for supplier performance (Supply Chain, Design Engineering, Supplier Quality Oversight).
• Identify and elevate supplier issues, risks, and quality events.
• Promote prompt resolution of issues by coordinating activities, communications, and corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, Deviation Notices) and implement corrective actions.
• Manage internal and external corrective action requests, performing cause analyses and verification of actions.
