Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Supplier Performance Engineer - I&C to support fabrication of electro-mechanical components at supplier facilities. You will report to the Manager, I&C Supplier Performance and work remote, 100% remote.

The role requires evaluating supplier capability, leading development plans, and implementing corrective actions. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in engineering/manufacturing and knowledge of IPC/IEEE/ASME standards, with domestic/international

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree+ in Electrical/Automation Engineering or similar.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in Engineering/Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of machining, welding, forming, molding; instrumentation & control systems; PCBs, harnesses, sensors, electrical cabinets.
• Experience with Problem Solving and Process Standardization projects.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans.
• Experience performing Supplier Evaluation/Qualification.
• Project management experience: leading multiple concurrent projects.
• Familiarity with IPC/IEEE/ASME standards.
• IPC or NDT certifications preferred.
• Welding (AWS) or NDT certifications preferred.
• Experience with nuclear products and standards preferred.
• Travel: 30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Perform On-site and Remote supplier oversight to meet Westinghouse requirements.
• Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans for submittals and manufacturing activities.
• Identify supplier risks and coordinate issue resolution with partners.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive corrective actions.
• Evaluate procurement risk and develop supply risk mitigation plans.
• Provide regular progress reports to project leadership.
• Perform technical evaluations of suppliers for capability and compliance.
• Identify gaps between supplier capabilities and requirements and establish development plans.
• Lead supplier development, qualification, and cost-reduction projects.

About The Role

As a Senior Supplier Performance Engineer - I&C you will support fabrication of electro-mechanical components at supplier facilities. You will report to the Manager, I&C Supplier Performance and work remote. 100% Remote Role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform On-site and Remote supplier oversight activities to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements are achieved.
• Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans to guide completion of critical document submittals and manufacturing activities.
• Identify and escalate supplier risks and guide resolution of issues by issuing communications and coordinating activities with all partners.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics, such as On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, and Deviation Notices, for assigned suppliers. This monitoring helps to identify negative performance trends. Implement Causal Analysis (RCA), Corrective & Preventive Actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans to reduce issues.
• Evaluate procurement (supplier) risk, soliciting partner input, and using tools to develop security of Supply Risk Mitigation Plans.
• Provide regular progress reports to the team Partners (Project Manager, Program Director) and the SPE Leadership team
• Perform Technical Evaluations of our suppliers to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, compliance with applicable regulations, codes and standards, and any associated risks.
• Identify gaps between supplier capabilities and Westinghouse Technical / Quality requirements to establish and implement Development Plans.
• Lead Supplier Development and Qualification activities, Supplier Improvement projects, and Cost Reduction efforts.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical/Automation Engineering or similar
• 4+ years of progressive experience in Engineering/Manufacturing.
• Knowledge in manufacturing processes includes machining, welding, forming, and molding. It also involves mechanical assembly, testing, and inspection. This knowledge is especially important regarding Instrumentation & Control Systems. These systems consist of electromechanical components, printed circuit boards, cable assemblies, and harnesses. They also include electrical cabinets, sensors, and other components.
• We value experience performing Problem Solving activities and Process Standardization projects.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans.
• Experience performing Supplier Evaluation/Qualification.
• Project Management Experience: leading multiple, concurrent, projects.
• Familiarity and experience with IPC / IEEE / ASME standards (norms, codes, technical specifications, drawings).
• We value IPC or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Certifications.
• Welding (AWS) or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Certifications preferred.
• Experience with nuclear products and standards preferred.
• 30% travel domestic and internationally is expected
  
  

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
