Job summary

Utica Community Schools seeks a Supervisor of Student Support Services to lead programming for students with disabilities under IDEA. This 44-week administrative role reports to the Director of Student Support Services and oversees itinerant staff and related evaluations.

The position requires a Master’s degree and a valid administrator certificate, with full approval in an area of special education, plus three years of experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Valid administrative certificate required.
• Full approval in at least one area of special education.
• Three years of successful experience in special education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellence, equity, and access for all students.
• Supervise itinerant staff and conduct non-tenure performance evaluations.
• Coordinate and facilitate all placements of students with IEPs.
• Monitor compliance with IDEA and state rules for special education.
• Support principals with evaluation processes and staff supervision.
