Job summary

MCN Build in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Superintendent with 10+ years of experience overseeing large commercial/industrial projects. You will direct multiple trades, manage project budgets, schedule, and ensure safety and quality across sites.

The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates leadership, and can represent the firm on schedule and cost matters within approved parameters. Travel may be required to support multiple projects in the DMV area.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience on commercial/industrial construction projects.
• High School Diploma required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to review plans, specs and contracts for multiple trades.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a safety-first mindset.
• Proficiency with PlanGrid, Procore, and Sage 300 Timberline within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate trade contractors and sub-contractors to meet project schedules.
• Supervise large multi-project construction with budget oversight.
• Maintain knowledge of contract documents and enforce safety plans.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated Senior Superintendent with 10 plus years of experience on a $25-$75+ million commercial/industrial construction project or multiple projects in a superintendent role or equivalent combination of education and experience, and a 30-hourOSHAcertification. The right hard-working Senior Superintendent isprimarily responsible for overseeing the general construction operations onmultipleprojects at once.Responsibilities includescheduling and activity sequencing, workforce forecasting and placement, managing subcontractors and specific trades, leading a project team, and collaborating with Project Managementteam. Successful candidates will be able to share their passion for and dedication to getting the job done and confidently represent the firm, including committing the firm on schedule and cost matters within approved parameters.

What You’ll Do

Our new Senior Superintendent will directand coordinatetrade contractors and theirsub-contractors, when required,to ensure they turn out high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule. MCN Senior Superintendents supervisethe construction of large andmultiple projectsand managethe project budget for general conditions and site services. Senior Superintendents also maintain athorough understanding of contract documents to be able to coordinate trades,proactively planand anticipate potential problems before they arise. What You Bring To The Table

• 10 plus years of experience on a $25-$75+ million commercial/industrial construction project or multiple projects in a superintendent role or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School Diploma and 30-hourOSHAcertification required
• Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of individuals
• Ability to review and interpret the plans, specifications and contracts as they relate to each individual trade involved in the construction of the project
• Knowledge of and ability to follow and enforce all OSHA guidelines
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently, and a desire to be in a leadership position
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite required
• PlanGrid, Procore, and Sage 300 Timberline proficiency expected within first 6 months
• Knowledge of industry safety standards, construction methods, and construction sequence
• Must possess the ability to participate in the sales process, interviews and presentations
• Strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan
• Ability to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incidentandinjuryfree attitudeadhering to OSHA regulations
• Experience supervising a project team,knowledge of labor relations
• Some travel may be required depending on business needs

• Salary Range: $125,000 –145,000 with an annual discretionary bonus.
