Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site supervision for solar, battery storage, and high‑voltage substation projects. This full‑time role is based on a Groton, NY jobsite and will require travel to support multiple projects nationwide.

You will manage field staff and subcontractors, enforce safety programs, review drawings and submittals, coordinate with owners and internal teams, and report progress and risks to executive leadership for timely completion.

Qualifications

• Lead on-site supervision of solar, storage, and substation projects.
• Supervise and mentor field staff and subcontractors.
• Enforce safety procedures and participate in Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Superintendent/Project Engineer duties as required.
• Recruit, screen, hire, mentor, coach, and develop field staff.
• Serve as the primary on-site representative for assigned projects, maintaining relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Manage direct reports and subcontractors to ensure quality outcomes.
• Lead by example and promote renewable energy.
• Oversee safety training and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Set and maintain work quality standards; conduct inspections and constructability reviews.
• Oversee multiple projects across a large geographic area.
• Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals; chair pre-job and regular meetings.
• Maintain and manage CPM schedules; coordinate with teams to meet milestones.
• Partner with estimating teams to develop accurate cost estimates and proposals.
• Prepare operational reports and provide progress updates to executive leadership.
• Perform manual work only under exigent conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
