Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site project execution for utility-scale solar, storage, and substation projects. You will supervise field staff, coordinate with owners and subcontractors, and ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence across multiple sites.

The role requires a background in engineering/construction management, strong leadership, and readiness to travel. Full-time on-site work in Groton, NY with regular site visits and team coordination.

Qualifications

• This job requires an engineering, construction management, or architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Prefers 8 years of field construction experience at a supervisory level.
• Prefers 3 years in utility-scale solar projects.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, regulations, and safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC).
• Strong scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost-control skills.
• Ability to read and understand specifications for all trades.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel/on-site work; scheduled time off every 3 weeks.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervise project completion and act as on-site representative.
• Recruit, screen, hire, mentor, coach, and develop field staff.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Manage direct reports and subcontractors to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Enforce safety procedures and participate in Safety Training Program.
• Maintain CPM schedules and coordinate logistics, materials, and meetings.
• Review drawings/submittals and chair pre-job meetings.
• Prepare progress reports and provide updates to executives.
