Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Senior Superintendent to lead complex life sciences construction projects in Southern California, including occupied campuses and clean rooms. You will direct onsite operations, schedule management, subcontractor coordination, and commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 10+ years in commercial construction, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage large teams on ground-up or complex TI

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience
• Experience leading ground-up or complex tenant improvement projects
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, site logistics, quality control, and field management
• Proven ability to manage large subcontractor teams and multiple project stakeholders
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Life sciences, laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, semiconductor, or advanced technology project experience
• Experience with clean rooms, cGMP environments, research facilities, or mission-critical spaces
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, and Bluebeam

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite construction operations from startup through completion
• Develop, manage, and maintain master project schedules
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel
• Drive site safety initiatives and ensure OSHA compliance
• Manage project logistics, phasing plans, and site sequencing
• Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination and owner meetings
• Oversee quality control and commissioning activities
• Coordinate complex MEP, process piping, laboratory, and equipment installations
• Collaborate with Project Management on budgets, forecasts, procurement, and change management
