Michael Page is assisting a leading commercial builder in Southern California to identify a Senior Superintendent for life sciences and complex laboratory construction. This role leads site operations, coordinates large teams, and ensures zero-compromise on safety, schedule, or quality.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in commercial construction, experience with clean rooms/cGMP environments, and proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience with significant Superintendent experience.
• Experience leading ground-up or complex tenant improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, site logistics, quality control, and field management.
• Proven ability to manage large subcontractor teams and multiple project stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Life sciences, laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, semiconductor, or advanced technology project experience.
• Experience with clean rooms, cGMP environments, research facilities, or mission-critical spaces.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Lead all onsite construction operations from project startup through completion.
• Develop, manage, and maintain master project schedules.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel.
• Drive site safety initiatives and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Manage project logistics, phasing plans, and site sequencing.
• Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination and owner meetings.
• Oversee quality control and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate complex MEP, process piping, laboratory, and specialty equipment installations.
• Collaborate with Project Management on budgets, forecasts, procurement, and change management.
• Maintain proactive communication with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and field staff.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Job Offer
