Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Senior Superintendent to join the Great Lakes regional team in Milwaukee.

The role requires 15+ years of healthcare/medical construction project management experience and offers the opportunity to lead a collaborative, design-build driven portfolio. You will manage subcontractors, track CPM schedules, control budgets and safety programs, and coordinate design reviews while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of field project management experience in healthcare/medical construction.
  • Post high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests.

Responsibilities

  • Manage subcontractor performance and coordination across teams.
  • Develop and track CPM schedules for projects.
  • Oversee general construction budgets and safety programs; train personnel.
  • Review design documents and shop drawings for accuracy and constructability.
  • Assist with material procurement and incorporate into master schedule.
  • Establish and monitor QC program on projects.
  • Value-engineer throughout ongoing projects to optimize costs.
  • Communicate and coordinate with all project team members.
  • Travel to project sites as needed.

  • Manage subcontractor performance.
  • Develop and track CPM schedules.
  • Manage overall general construction budgets and safety programs while training personnel.
  • Comprehend all design documents and review shop drawings.
  • Assist project team with material procurement process and incorporate into master schedule.
  • Establish and monitor QC program.
  • Value-engineer throughout projects.
  • Make sound choices and seek creative solutions to problems using all available resources.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with all project team members.
  • Travel for projects as needed.
Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 15+ years of experience managing healthcare/medical construction projects Post high school education or equivalent in the construction field Possess a valid driver’s license, and must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random testing.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • Experience leading and supervising a project team.
  • Strong working knowledge of BIM and/or CAD and current building codes.
  • Previous experience creating and managing a MS Project schedule, and familiarity with the construction market.
  • Self-motivation and can supervise and work well with others while fostering a positive and inclusive work space.
