Job summary

Green Key Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations for large-scale industrial and multifamily projects in the Columbus area. You will partner with the Project Manager and leadership to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.

You will supervise subcontractors, coordinate safety and quality control, review drawings and documentation, and ensure permits and inspections are managed.

Qualifications

  • 10-15+ years of commercial construction field experience.
  • Proven experience supervising large-scale industrial, warehouse, distribution, or multifamily projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, scheduling, and project logistics.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
  • Strong subcontractor management and field leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Proficiency with construction technology and project management software such as Procore preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day field operations for large-scale projects.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules with Project Manager and leadership.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Ensure work complies with plans, specs, codes, and project requirements.
  • Maintain safety, quality, productivity, and schedule adherence.
  • Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and field planning activities.
  • Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and docs to identify issues early.
  • Coordinate inspections and permits; track approvals.
  • Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance.
  • Identify schedule risks and develop solutions to keep projects moving.
  • Collaborate with PM and development team to address challenges.
  • Assist with preconstruction planning, sequencing, logistics, and constructability reviews.
  • Participate in project turnover, punch list, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Maintain accurate daily field reports and documentation.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the company professionally with owners, consultants, municipalities, subcontractors.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to join a fully integrated builder/developer focused on delivering large-scale industrial and multifamily developments. This individual will take ownership of day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are built safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all day-to-day field operations for large-scale industrial and multifamily construction projects.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules in partnership with the Project Manager and project leadership.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, applicable codes, and project requirements.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality control, productivity, and schedule adherence.
  • Conduct regular subcontractor coordination meetings and lead daily/weekly field planning activities.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation to identify potential issues before they impact the project.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure required permits and approvals are maintained.
  • Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance.
  • Identify schedule risks and develop solutions to keep projects moving forward.
