Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Boston is seeking a SUE Manager to lead our SUE Services team. The role focuses on managing day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, and ensuring high-quality deliverables for subsurface utility projects.

You will oversee project scope, budget, and safety, while developing client relationships and coordinating with municipalities for permits. The position requires 10+ years in SUE and 5+ years of supervision, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in SUE and 5+ years supervising SUE crews.
• Ability to designate all utilities using surface geophysical equipment.
• Extensive experience operating a vacuum excavation truck.
• Able to work flexible hours, travel may be required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage day-to-day SUE operations to ensure quality.
• Develop and monitor project scope, budget, and quality control for SUE projects.
• Plan SUE crew schedules and coordinate with other departments.
• Field supervision of SUE crews to ensure standards are met.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and retain staff for a local SUE operation.
• Maintain and develop client relationships.
