Job summary

Safe Site Utility Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) team in Colorado. You will manage projects across Quality Levels D, C, B, and A, coordinate field crews, and serve as the main client contact ensuring scope, schedule, access, and deliverables meet expectations.

The role requires 5+ years in SUE or related fields, experience with EM locating and GPR, and the ability to read civil plans and CAD deliverables.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SUE, utility locating/designating, utility construction, survey, civil infrastructure, or a closely related field with leadership experience.
• Practical understanding of underground utility systems and investigation methods, including electromagnetic locating and GPR.
• Knowledge of SUE Quality Levels D, C, B, and A and related workflows.
• Experience coordinating field crews, clients, utility owners, and jurisdictions.
• Ability to read civil and utility plans and project scope documents.
• Proficiency with project documentation and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage SUE projects with Quality Levels D, C, B, and A, including records research, field designation, survey/data collection, and final deliverables.
• Develop project schedules and coordinate field crews and priorities daily.
• Serve as primary client contact, communicating scope, schedule, access, constraints, and status.
• Coordinate with 811, utility owners, municipalities, and agencies for records and permits.
• Track scope, budget, labor, subcontractors, and schedule; flag changes or risks early.
• Review field documents, data, sketches, CAD deliverables for completeness.
