Job summary

WSP is seeking a SUE Project Manager IV to oversee complex subsurface utility engineering projects from planning through closeout in Mooresville or Charlotte, NC. The role emphasizes ownership of scope, schedule, budget, risk, and client communications.

You will coordinate across field, CAD, survey, operations, and client teams, ensuring quality deliverables, effective issue resolution, and adherence to project goals while mentoring junior staff and promoting consistent practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 5 to 7 years of SUE, surveying, project management, or related project delivery experience.
• Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and client expectations.
• Strong understanding of SUE delivery, field operations, CAD deliverables, and quality requirements.
• Ability to mentor project managers and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex or high-priority SUE projects from planning through closeout.
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, resource planning, and delivery performance.
• Lead coordination across field, CAD, survey, operations, client, and project teams.
• Manage client communication, expectations, scope changes, and project issue resolution.
• Monitor financial performance, schedule impacts, quality concerns, and delivery risks.
• Review deliverables for technical quality, completeness, consistency, and client requirements.
• Mentor developing project managers and support consistent project delivery practices.
