Job summary

Halff is seeking a SUE Field Technician III for Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of SUE utility locating and designation experience and is prepared to lead teams and crews. This role offers career growth and potential ownership opportunities within Halff.

You will operate GPR and electromagnetic locating equipment, read utility plans, document field data, and coordinate with supervisors and clients to ensure accurate, timely results in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of SUE experience.
• Strong knowledge of SUE principles, utility types, and geophysical methods.
• Proficiency in operating ground penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic equipment, vacuum excavation trucks, and other subsurface utility detection tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate electromagnetic and GPR designating equipment to locate and mark underground utilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
• Act as a lead on designating team and/or vacuum excavation crew.
• Read and interpret utility plans/prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
• Provide accurate documentation and/or sketches related to located utilities.
