Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, MO is seeking an Experienced or Senior Subsystems Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership across programs and production lines. The role emphasizes enterprise-level strategy, process architecture, and cross-functional impact to improve throughput, reduce cost, and enable scaling of aerospace products.

Responsibilities include leading IPTs, developing manufacturing plans, driving tooling investments, and mentoring engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field; Level 3, 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent.
  • Progressive manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace/defense or other high-reliability environments.
  • Experience with complex Aerospace Sub-Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IPTs analyzing product development and producibility studies.
  • Conceptualize and oversee program architecture for build.
  • Develop manufacturing plans for high-level program requirements.
  • Invest in tooling, workstations, automation, and capital equipment; justify improvements.
  • Establish standardized processes and controls across lines.
  • Lead root cause analysis and Six Sigma improvements.
  • Incorporate manufacturing considerations in design and reviews.
  • Mentor and oversee engineering teams; review deliverables.
  • Use data analytics and simulations to validate processes and capacity.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to meet schedule and budget.
