Job summary

Boeing in Berkeley, MO seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the fabrication and installation of flight test instrumentation hardware across aircraft platforms. You will own the build plan to ensure design, process, and fabrication alignment, performing DFMA analysis and delivering complete assembly instructions and sourcing plans.

The role requires coordinating with design, procurement, and flight test teams, driving fabrication and installation readiness, and supporting shipside

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience writing MES plans to support detail part fabrication, assembly and installation.
• 3+ years of experience with 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Synthesis of test hardware & instrumentation requirements in support of flight test.
• Review of design models and drawings, creating/reviewing redlines and coordinating with design to incorporate updates.
• Authorship of manufacturing plans to facilitate build.
• Sourcing of fabrication & assembly including work statement creation as needed.
• Fabrication coordination and liaison.
• Part sourcing from production.
• Procurement of parts/material to support test, coordination with supplier management.
• Shipside (at the aircraft) support of test hardware installation.
• At times support manufacturing engineering tasks across different Boeing sites.
• Close coordination with: Boeing flight test organization, instrumentation engineers and technicians, program engineers, Boeing customers, fabrication technicians and support personnel (material management), electrical and mechanical designers across design/build and the Enterprise
