Job summary

Sword Group is seeking a Senior Subsurface Data Manager in Houston to lead the subsurface data landscape across client projects, supporting Geoscience and Exploration teams with high-quality data throughout the lifecycle.

You will interface between Geoscience and Data Management, drive data governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor teams on best practices for well and seismic data management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing subsurface data within E&P environments.
• Experience with data quality management and governance.
• Strong communication across Geoscience and Data Management teams.
• Familiarity with operator regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Advise on development of the subsurface data landscape.
• Lead data receipt, loading, conversion, transfer, QC, and archiving for client data.
• Interface between Geoscience teams and Data Management functions.
• Conduct data quality assessments and ensure consistency across repositories.
• Deliver well and seismic data management services for E&P apps.
• Maintain corporate subsurface databases and data inventories.
• Ensure lifecycle management & regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance on data management standards and practices.
