Pacific Gas and Electric Company seeks an Expert Work Methods & Procedures Specialist to provide technical leadership for substation maintenance, commissioning, testing, and operational support. The role advances safety, reliability, and equipment performance across PG&E’s electric system.

Located in Oakland with a hybrid work model, the selected candidate will mentor others and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of electric utility industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Work Methods & Procedures Specialist experience.
• Strong knowledge of substation equipment and related standards.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a recognized technical authority for substation equipment, work methods, and maintenance programs.
• Coach and develop technical specialists and field personnel.
• Lead high-level initiatives and cross-functional stakeholder meetings with evidence-based recommendations.
• Provide expert judgment and interpretation of company requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
• Lead development, revision, and approval of high-level work methods, procedures, and manuals.
• Investigate equipment failure, root-cause, and extent-of-condition; implement corrective actions.
• Support QC and QA programs evaluating adherence, training, supplier quality, and field implementation.
• Provide expert guidance during large-scale emergencies and regulatory responses.
