Job summary

Stantec is seeking Intermediate and Senior Civil/Structural Engineers to support its Substation Physical Electrical Teams in the United States. The role focuses on leading substation structural design efforts for 13kV to 500kV systems, including AIS and GIS concepts, while coordinating with Physical Electrical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with 8–10 years’ experience in power delivery.
• Registered PE preferred, with NCEES Record desired.
• Experience with site visits to capture technical data for estimates and execution of substation expansions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering efforts for design of foundations, equipment support, rigid bus and enclosures.
• Perform QA/QC of structural engineering design packages.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to meet timelines for engineering deliverables.
• Review and approve design drawings and calculations for substation construction packages.
