Job summary

Qualus Corporation in Portland, OR is seeking a Senior Substation Construction Quality Inspector to provide Owner's quality oversight of substation wiring and protection and controls. This on-site role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to implement engineering designs on power utility construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 5–10 years of construction management in power delivery.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations for electric utility work.
• Ability to read and interpret vendor drawings and feeder prints.

Responsibilities

• Validate construction deliverables per designs and standards on multiple projects.
• Lead field inspections including substantial and final completion inspections.
• Provide field support for project meetings and updates.
• Coordinate with contractors to align inspections with schedules.
• Provide quality oversight of all new construction.
• Review contractor safe work practices.
• Participate in RFIs and change order reviews to validate field conditions.
• Author detailed inspection reports.
