Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead multiple electric substation and transmission projects within the Major Projects/EPC Group. You will ensure constructability aligns with client expectations, manage safety, scheduling, and costs, and coordinate on-site work executed by contractors.

The role requires extensive field leadership, daily oversight, and strong knowledge of OSHA standards and electric infrastructure practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of materials, construction standards, OSHA safety requirements for electric distribution and substation construction.
• Working knowledge of electric operations and ability to obtain switching and outage authorization.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, customers, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Aggressively manages day-to-day activities of multiple contractor crews on substation and transmission projects.
• Ensures safety standards, company specs, and governmental regulations are met.
• Manages costs and cycle time, directs contractor installations and outages.
• Coordinates with customers at the jobsite to determine requirements and sequencing.
• Documents job performance and updates in relevant information systems.
