Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Senior Consultant to lead QAQC reviews of electrical substation design packages, ensuring NEC/NESC/IEEE/ANSI compliance and customer requirements. The role is remote with periodic travel to Ruston, LA, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

You will develop QAQC processes, mentor engineers, conduct audits, and coordinate standardized practices across offices while providing SME support on technical inquiries and serving as Engineer of Record

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical substation engineering and design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); licensure required within one year if not already licensed in practice state.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards for substation design.
• Experience developing or delivering technical training and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple offices and teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform QAQC reviews of substation design packages for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct independent QAQC audits and maintain a detailed issues log.
• Develop and continually improve QAQC processes and standards.
• Lead QAQC training and mentoring programs across offices.
• Coordinate standardization of designs, BOMs, and practices across groups.
• Provide SME support on technical inquiries and act as Engineer of Record when needed.
