Job summary

The position starts at Engineer Assc level with clear advancement paths to Engineer and Senior Engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is encouraged for future PE licensure.
• PE license is preferred; advanced degrees may allow entry at higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Review relay protection and control activities for 4kV thru 765kV substation projects.
• Review P&C scopes and cost estimates for substations.
• Prepare/review P&C engineering and designs for substations.
• Support project scheduling, resource planning and cost control.
• Provide engineering support for installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Develop system-wide protection standards for transmission and distribution.
• Coordinate with transmission customers and related parties on protection issues.

Education

ABET-accredited engineering degree

Master's or PhD in engineering (ABET-accredited program)

Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
