Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is encouraged for future PE licensing.
• PE license is encouraged or preferred for senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review relay protection and control activities for 4kV through 765kV substation projects.
• Prepare and review P&C scopes for electric substation projects.
• Prepare and review P&C engineering settings and designs for substations.
• Create relay setting calculation sheets and deliverables for projects.
• Conduct area protection studies and suggest settings for transmission protection schemes.
• Model transmission impedances and perform short-circuit fault studies.
• Work with NERC P&C standards and review related documents.
• Coordinate with customers and interconnected companies on protection issues.
• Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
