Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Sr. Engineer with strong Protection & Control (P&C) experience to support the design, development, and execution of substation and power system projects.

Lead engineering design for 4kV–500kV P&C systems, develop protection schemes, and coordinate with stakeholders through lifecycle stages. The candidate will review drawings/specs, perform equipment selection, ensure compliance with NERC/IEEE guidelines, and mentor junior engineers while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• At least 5+ years in substation engineering with a focus on P&C.
• Experience with relay protection schemes (SEL, GE, Siemens, ABB).
• Substation design packages (drawings/specs) and power system fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and execution of P&C systems for substations (typically 4kV–500kV).
• Develop protection schemes (line, bus, transformer, feeder) and one-line diagrams.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to meet milestones.
• Support project lifecycle activities from concept through commissioning.
• Perform equipment selection and specification (relays, CTs/PTs, breakers, SCADA).
• Conduct peer reviews, QA/QC, and ensure NERC, IEEE, NEC and client standards compliance.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning; troubleshoot as needed.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
