Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to design substation P&C packages, including diagrams, schematics, and relaying equipment specs. You will coordinate with multiple groups to ensure design concurrence and deliver complete engineering packages.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus, 3+ years in P&C design, and an FE license with a PE pursuit in mind. Office-based position in the US with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus; MS may substitute.
• 3+ years in utility substation P&C design including diagrams and bill of materials.
• FE license and pursuing PE license encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete P&C engineering design packages for relaying and comms.
• Create one-line/three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Develop SCADA inputs/outputs; supervise drafters and junior engineers.
• Present technical solutions to customers and participate in site meetings.
