Job Description

Leidos is seeking a Senior Substation Protection & Control Engineer to design protection and control projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV to 500kV. This role involves designing digital logic, AC, and DC circuits, and offers exposure to power generation and renewable energy integration.

Work Schedule: Hybrid (2-4 days in-office per week).

Location

Must be located in or willing to relocate to the United States within the Walled Lake, MI territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field, with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in substation protection/control design and testing.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and create electrical drawings.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as EIT, PE, or PMP.
• Experience with CAD tools like SDS AutoCAD Electrical and data systems like Bentley ProjectWise.
