Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Senior Project Engineer - Substation Power Systems in our Denver office.

You will design and manage power systems across medium and high voltage, lead substation projects, and coordinate with utilities and stakeholders to deliver sustainable energy solutions. Responsibilities include mentoring teams, ensuring design quality, and delivering client-focused results on cutting-edge projects.

Qualifications

• BSEE from ABET-accredited program required.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.
• 10+ years of MV/HV power distribution/design experience.
• Experience with DER, BESS, and grid-scale PV.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the power systems design process on assigned projects and develop innovative design solutions.
• Lead substation design with high/medium voltage relaying, protection, and SCADA.
• Mentor and coordinate project teams; maintain client and partner relationships.
