Job summary

Venda Search is seeking a Senior / Associate Staff Substation Physical Engineer for fully remote work in the United States. You will design high‑voltage substation physical systems, produce construction drawings, review submittals, and lead QA/QC reviews on complex projects.

The role requires a ABET‑accredited Electrical Engineering degree, 12+ years of substation design, and strong technical leadership. PE license is preferred and experience with AutoCAD and related design packages is essential.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 12+ years of substation physical design experience.
• PE license preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and substation design packages.
• Strong communication, leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design high‑voltage substation physical systems, including general arrangements, equipment layouts, grounding, conduit and bills of material.
• Prepare construction drawing packages and review submittals for design compliance and constructability.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering work by internal teams and subcontractors.
• Act as Lead Engineer and Engineer of Record on assigned projects where applicable.
• Support proposals, bid preparation, project schedules and construction‑related technical issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide ongoing technical guidance.
