Job summary

Mesa Associates, Inc. seeks a Part Time Senior Substation P&C Engineering Specialist who will be responsible for checking and oversight of deliverables for substation P&C design projects.

Responsibilities include drawing checks for single lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel front views, conduits and BOMs; mentor junior engineers; travel is optional; hybrid work from the Knoxville, TN office with potential fully remote work in the Southeast region and quarterly visits to Knoxville.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer license is a plus but not required.
• 20+ years of experience in substation design and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Check/review junior personnel's work for accuracy/adherence to client and national standards.
• Perform/review project scoping activities.
• Prepare engineering labor cost estimates.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Willingness to travel is a plus but not required.
• Interface with client engineers to provide satisfactory design products.
