Job summary

OGE Energy Corporation is seeking a Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer to act as a subject matter expert in substation power equipment, supporting evaluation, acceptance testing, commissioning, maintenance, and operation.

The role involves leading complex technical work across projects, collaborating with field teams, manufacturers, and contractors. Travel for site visits and testing is required; PE designation is essential for Lead level, and a Bachelor's in Engineering is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
PE designation is required for Lead level.
Valid Driver's License is required for Senior & Lead.

Responsibilities

Develop equipment specifications, perform factory inspection and FAT.
Develop power equipment test plans and review results for commissioning, ops and maintenance.
Provide on-site and remote support to field personnel during routine maintenance and troubleshooting; lead root-cause analysis of failures.
Interpret test results and recommend corrective actions to ensure safe operation of power equipment.
Develop technical procedures and guidelines for Substation Operations and contractors.
Represent company in standards development and industry groups; collaborate with manufacturers to address equipment issues.
Support installation and development of substation monitoring equipment.
