Prequel Solutions seeks a Substation Engineer Lead in Canton, OH, to support critical medium‑voltage power distribution infrastructure across a major manufacturing operation. This hands‑on technical role emphasizes project execution and field leadership without people management responsibilities.
You will troubleshoot MV distribution, work with transformers, switchgear and protective relays, and lead upgrades.
Qualifications
- Strong MV power distribution/substation experience.
- Experience with protection relays: SEL, GE, Eaton or similar.
- Strong power systems troubleshooting and engineering background.
- Utility, power services or heavy industrial/manufacturing background.
- Experience with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, arc-flash, short-circuit or coordination studies is a plus.
Responsabilités
- Support and troubleshoot medium-voltage power distribution and substations
- Work with transformers, switchgear, breakers and protective relays
- Lead electrical infrastructure upgrades and modernization projects
- Support system reliability, preventive maintenance and root-cause troubleshooting
- Partner with engineering, maintenance, operations and outside contractors
- Lead projects through installation and commissioning
