Job summary

Ridgemont Resources, Inc. is seeking a traveling field technician to test, troubleshoot and commission high-voltage equipment across the Midwest. The role covers LV through HV systems up to 765 kV, with per diem and overtime. The candidate will work home-based with travel to sites in the Midwest, including IL, WI and MO, as needed. The position requires flexible travel and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Substation experience testing up to 765 kV.
• NETA II–IV preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% with per diem.
• Valid driver''s license.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot and commission LV through HV systems, up to 765 kV.
• Test switchgear and breakers, including SF6 gas breakers and GIS.
• Inspect, test and repair transformers from small units to large power transformers.
• Run power factor and other HV test sets, test cable installations.
• Commission and troubleshoot control and transfer schemes.
