Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation EPC Program Lead to drive the substation scope within large, multidisciplinary EPC programs. You will coordinate with contractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure technical delivery, regulatory alignment, and efficient execution.

You will advise clients on site development, designing electrical systems, permitting, and outage planning, while overseeing procurement, construction support, and project risk management. Travel is involved as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; PE license preferred.
• At least 10 years related experience and minimum 5 years in project management.
• Proficient with MS Office, estimating and scheduling tools; able to interface with design teams and stakeholders.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture and strong communication skills across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation scope within large EPC infrastructure programs, coordinating with contractors and clients.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, and execution aspects of substation development.
• Direct and monitor all substation scope execution with EPC construction partner.
• Oversee site selection, layout, engineering, permitting, and long‑lead equipment strategy.
• Coordinate outages, energization, commissioning, and system integration.
• Mentor HDR staff and subconsultants while managing scope, schedule, and budget.
