Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is seeking an experienced substation senior engineer in the Ontario, CA office to configure and produce drawings for electro-mechanical and microprocessor protection relay systems in high voltage substations. The role involves designing RTUs, PMUs, ethernet switches, and HMI systems, and guiding less experienced staff.

Occasional travel is required. The ideal candidate has a BSEE with 6+ years of experience, a PE license is preferred, and experience with SCE

Qualifications

• BSEE required with 6+ years documenting high-voltage substation drawings.
• Experience specifying, configuring, and producing engineering drawings for protective relay systems.
• PE license preferred; strong communication and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure and produce engineering drawings for protection relay systems in HV substations.
• Design installation of RTUs, DDFRs, PMUs, ethernet switches, and HMI systems.
• Lead and mentor junior staff; travel as required.
• Produce one-line, three-line, schematics, panel elevations and wiring diagrams.
