Job summary

DEPCOM Power, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Substations) in New Jersey to lead substation physical design, layout optimization, grounding, and protection system development for utility-scale solar and battery projects.

You will produce 30% to IFC drawings, coordinate with civil/protection/SCADA teams, and support FATs and field commissioning. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, up to 15% travel, and strong experience in power infrastructure design,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% for site visits, reviews, or FATs.
• Experience in Power Infrastructure Design for substations or related projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop physical layout drawings for high-voltage substations (plan/elevation/section).
• Create design criteria and specs for structures, foundations, bus work, and cable trenching.
• Perform ampacity, ground grid, lightning protection, insulation coordination, and short-circuit studies.
