Job summary

Worley Group, Inc is seeking a Substation Design Professional to join our Power Networks team in the United States. You will develop design packages for medium and high voltage substations and coordinate with a multi-discipline team to deliver accurate drawings.

The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree or Diploma in Electrical Design or Drafting and hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and ProjectWise.

Qualifications

• Extensive relevant design experience.
• Competent understanding of regulations, electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and document management tools.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Familiar with NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE-7, AISC and ACI 318.
• Experience with ProjectWise document management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient and reliable design packages for medium and high voltage substations.
• Lead/Support document control functions including ProjectWise management and drawing processes.
• Translate sketches and markups into properly documented drawings (schematics, single-line and three-line diagrams).
• Coordinate design activities to meet schedules, budgets and quality requirements.
• Assist in site visits, proposals, and project meetings as required.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable drafting codes and standards.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline project team members.
• Review field construction marks to develop As-Built drawing packages.
