Job summary

Worley Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design substations for 69kV and higher as part of the Power Networks team. You will lead engineering tasks, perform studies, and develop drawings and specifications for new and modified switchyards and substations.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in electrical engineering with 8+ years in substation design and preferably a US PE. Strong team collaboration and ability to travel to job sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years in substation design.
• PE license in the United States preferred.
• Experience with power system modeling tools.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Substation physical design including overall engineering and analysis for new switchyards and substations.
• Preparation of specifications and provide procurement support.
• Preparation of engineering drawings including layout and general arrangements for all major equipment and structures for high voltage switchyards or substation.
• Perform substation grounding calculations and studies, lightning protection and insulation coordination, lighting, bus calculations, transformer and bus sizing calculations.
